Parents and students,
The Dallas Wind Symphony has paired with the RISD Bands to perform a benefit concert for RISD Band Programs. The Concert is on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 3pm, at Richardson HS. Tickets are $10, which is a heck of a deal for the DWS, and the exciting part is the conductors. The DWS has agreed to perform 1 UIL tune from each of the top band’s UIL programs in RISD, meaning one tune from each middle school and high school top band. For each tune chosen, the respective director will get to conduct the song. So, Mr. Evetts, Ms. Shepherd, and Mr. Bradford will all 3 get to conduct one of their UIL tunes with the DWS, the nation’s premier wind band.
For information on tickets, please see your campus director or tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
